I oftentimes get a alert 'Low battery Delight Get-go Engine' when I switch the ignition on. I do take a Blackvue fitted, all the same it is on the end of a Power Magic device that shuts it off after 24 hrs or when voltage drops below 11.8v and this does announced to piece of work OK. Also, I only exercise a long mileage a couple of times a week, the rest of the time it'due south 5-x mile hops. My last car (Freelander 2) also had the BV and didn't seem to have any problems like this. I suspect information technology's just being too conservative (despite the bulletin I've had no problems starting, or otherwise) but would capeesh the views of others who may know more almost it than I | 9th May 2014 3:03 pm

The D4 often suffered the aforementioned warning and on two occasions wouldn't kickoff despite everything being turned off. The beginning time the phone call out engineer declared a drain on the battery simply could not locate information technology - he bump started the auto and told me to drive it for x miles - which I of form did. The problem so disappeared for a few months but reoccurred and then left me stranded once more - bad timing likewise as I was on my style dwelling from London. After the second call out diagnosed the same trouble I took the car in to T H White in Swindon who replaced the battery nether warranty (just within the 3 year point so I was lucky). They said the battery itself was faulty and probably had been deteriorating since new (May eleven). It may be worth just taking your car in and asking them to run a full diagnosis. After they replaced my bombardment the trouble went abroad, the car started much easier, everything ran for longer earlier the 'turn it off now' message etc. Hope this helped a bit and good luck. | 9th May 2014 6:59 pm

I've never seen the message that you go. I rarely do short journeys in the D4 though. If it was me, I'd take it back to the dealer. They may swap your battery for a new one to see if that fixes it. Hope you get it sorted. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE 2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE 2014 D4 HSE (Near likewise bling)-GONE 2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE 2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE 2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) As Robbie and promitheus have suggested. Give your bombardment a few decent charges. To get the best results from charging, leave the charger running for at least 8 hours after the battery charger goes into Bladder way and do this a couple of times a week for a while and you will find your bombardment starts your motors easier and the messages will go away. By leaving the battery on a float accuse for a few hours, y'all will progressively ameliorate the condition of your battery, which means it will hold a better charge voltage. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.vii | 10th May 2014 eleven:47 am
